Using the cream

How does numbing cream work?
It temporarily reduces sensation in the skin where it is applied, so the area feels much less during the session. Follow the instructions on the pack for timing and coverage.

When do I put it on?
Well before your appointment — follow the timing on the pack. Wash and dry the area first, spread an even layer without rubbing it in, and cover it so the formula stays put. Wipe it clean when you arrive.

10g or 30g — which do I need?
The 10g tube suits small and medium pieces. Go for the 30g XL if you are sitting for a large piece, a long session, or you want enough for more than one appointment.

Will it affect my tattoo?
Our formula is made not to interfere with ink absorption or color vibrancy. Tell your artist you have used it so they can plan around it — some artists have a preference either way.

How strong is it?
5% lidocaine.

Can I use it anywhere on my body?
Use it only as directed on the pack. Patch test on a small area first, and stop use if you react. If you have a skin condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take other medication, speak to a clinician before using it.

Aftercare

What does the Tattoo Care Balm do?
It hydrates and soothes while a fresh tattoo heals, using Hyaluronic Acid, Centella Asiatica and Shea Butter. It is lightweight and non-greasy, with a warm vanilla scent.

When do I start using it?
Once your artist says the piece is ready for aftercare. Follow whatever aftercare routine they have given you — they know your tattoo.

Where do you ship?
The United States.

What does shipping cost?
$4.99 standard. Free on orders of $50 or more — applied automatically at checkout, no code needed.

How long will it take?
Orders leave our Houston, TX warehouse within 1–2 business days. Delivery normally takes a further 5–7 business days, so most orders arrive within 6–9 business days of being placed. We ship with UPS, USPS and FedEx.

How do I track my order?

Can I return something?
Yes — within 10 days of receiving it, unused and in its original packaging. Email info@tattoonumbingcream.co to start a return. Full terms are in our refund policy, linked in the footer.
